Why Not?

The Celts were in great Brittan. Then the Romans invaded but did not kill off everyone. Then there were further invasions by the angles and the saxons and the jutes. They all spoke different languages but they ended up coming up with old English that they all spoke. Scops came and told stories to both the children and older people normally Beowulf. Christian monks were usually in charge of writing down things, they wrote the story of Beowulf down in old English and that is how the story got to Great Britain.
