My Week in Science

Well actually I didn’t get to find out the exact location for my project but I took the best guess that I could. What happened was on the day it was due and I had a good idea my partner wasn’t there and the computer I had was broken and I didn’t get to go one all class untill there was five minutes left in class and I had to turn it off right when I had a computer. But oh well I’ll get over it. We found out the reasons for the seasons it is causd from the tilt of the earth. Which is a 23.5 degree angle. We also learned about the equinoxes and the solstices and the days that they happen on. That was my story of the week in Science.

Science

In science we are doing this thing thats called Journey North. My location is in the northern hemisphere. My patner and I have made pretty good progress we have been comunicating with each other and our project is coming along. Some of our clues are kind of strange though. The progress we have made is that we think that we may know where the place is.

Darfur Brainstorming

Opinion: My opinion about Darfur is that it is awful. I don’t think people should make little children that are less than eight know about the things that they do. Like the pictures that kids draw of what they think is going on the shouldn’t be drawing about that kind of thing that they are. The little kids are drawing pictures of their family members and other people around them who are getting shot and their heads cut off. Go to this website to see the pictures. Kids Drawings.

Main Supporting Points:

1. Innocent people are dying because of their skin color and religion.

2. Kids know about stuff that only adults should.

3. The Militia is forcefully moving people out of the villages that they have lived in since they were born.

Opposing Points:

1.Change is good for the people who haven’t left their village at all.

2.The people that we are killing aren’t innocent we are actually doing some good by killing them.

3.Kids are kids they don’t understand what they are seeing, saying, or doing

Other ideas and notes:

1.Now 500 kids drawings are being used as proof to Sudan’s government of the attacks on the people of Darfur.

2. People that are fleeing are crossing the border over to Chad.

3. If you just look at the faces of all those people that have been wounded and seen death their faces are enough
