Yesterday a small French class in Canada was treated to a magical performance of the classic “Ebony and Ivory” by our French class. We also got to ask them random questions about Canada and learn more about life up there.

Today in class we will be commenting on some other students’ blogs, from all over the world. Remember how much we love it when we had comments from Mr. C’s class in Missouri? We are going to do the same for other kids. Don’t forget our good commenting skills.

Ils ont visité Paris. C’est gros. Ils sont allé le Eiffel Tower. C’est grande. Apres, Ils ont dormié. Ils ont visité le Louvre. C’est barbant. Enfin, Ils visite l’arc de triomphe.

Here is what we are doing for the rest of our Amis Project. We are going to make photo story to make a “journal” of Mars’ trip to our school. It should be all in French and it should be in the first person, “je”. You can use the passé composé.
Today we are going to brainstorm what things Mars should do on his trip. You need to plan your story board and start on the script.
Here are the directions from the wiki:
Students will be broken into teams of 2 or 3. Each team will take the ambassador on visits to various places of interest around their school and community. These visits will explore those places and things that have particular social or cultural interest. Students will take still photography of the ambassador at these locations.
Student teams will then produce narrated slideshows (e.g. photostory, etc) of the travels of the ambassador as he/she tours the school / community. These stories would be written/narrated in the first person from the perspective of the ambassador. These videos would be placed on the wiki for sharing.
The five things the students from the other school would want to know would have to be answered in the travels.
First thing! Write a reaction to our box opening on Friday. Were you surprised by anything that they sent? What did you learn about them just from the box? Read the “post cards” from them. What do they tell you about themselves? Do you think they are people that would be friends with?
