The Oscars Review

March 5th, 2011 by ttfa16

Well hello everybody it is time to see how I thought the Oscars were. As you probably know, the Oscars is a day were a group of people called The Academy decides who should win what for there work in a movie. And most importantly, what movie will win best picture. Here were the nominees for Best Picture this year:

Inception:

127 Hours:

The King’s Speech:

True Grit:

Here’s the original trailer: I hated this movie because it didn’t come close to the original movie or the book.

And lastly, The Fighter:

The King’s Speech won and as much as I wanted for Inception to win, I must admit, The King’s Speech was an AMAZING movie. Definitely worth seeing. And by the way, It’s rated R because there is just one scene where there is a lot of cussing, but I mean, we see that in PG-13 movies, so, bad rating system?

The King’s Speech Movie Review

Hey guys! Well, if you’ve watched the Oscars, you would know that this film won the Oscar for Best Picture and for Best Director, and Best Actor Colin Firth. I must say, as much as I ra…..r….(long pause)…raved, sorry I just stuttered, about Inception, I must admit, the Academy did an amazing job. This is the best movie this year because it had such and amazing story with great acting in it. I do wish though that the actor of the speech therapist did win for best supporting actor because he was just amazing. Overall, this movie has a heart that will make your day no matter what day it is. 1 2 3 4 [5]

The Green Hornet Review

January 22nd, 2011 by ttfa16

Well, as you can see, this movie is about a multi-millionaire Brit Reeves decides that he should become a superhero to stop corruption in California. But, he has no idea really how to fight. Thanks to his partner Kato, a car they call the Black Beauty helps them both fight crime. His name, The Green Hornet. Kato’s? Well, so far it’s Kato. This superhero movie is one of the funniest I’ve seen in a while. At first, I thought that the superhero himself was a little mix of iron man and batman, but, after watching it, I can see the originality in it. The Free Lance Star gave it a one star because they think it is suppose to be a serious movie. Well, any movie with Seth Rogan in it is bound to be a funny movie. I’ll tell you what, I have not seen an audience have such interaction and laughs at a superhero movie like The Green Hornet. It is funny, has lots of action, and humor for anyone 13 and up. Can’t wait to see it again!

“The Wolfman” Review

September 18th, 2010 by ttfa16

Alright. ALRIGHT!! You can stop the screaming – the trailer is over! Sheez… Alright, so the story of “The Wolfman” is set during the late 1800′s in London. Lawrence(Benicio Del Toro)’s brother dies,(or as I should say, gets mauled by the FIRST Wolfman) and Lawrence comes back from America(hints the American accent)to stay with his father and brother’s fiance. But a rumor has been going around in the small town that a beast has been storming the forrests when there’s a full moon. So, after Lawerence sees the body of his brother, he goes to hunt for the beast and sure enough, he gets bitten in the neck and almost dies. So, during the next week, strange things start happening to him, and he becomes, the Wolfman. Then a story of family, betrayal, and gore comes to life. If you’ve ever wondered how the first Wolfman becomes a Wolfman, they explain it. Oh, and by the way, the father is played by Anthony Hopkins. You know, Hannibal the Cannibal, “Silence of the Lambs”…If you don’t know any of that then you probably know this line:”I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti (sucks on bottom lip).”

If you don’t know that, then your missing out. And, what surpised me was that this isn’t like other horror movies with bad language, nudity, and you know what. Just, gore. More gore than “District 9″. This is a great first horror movie to watch. Surprisingly, it wasn’t boring nor scary. I give this a 4 out of 5. Oops, full moon. Gotta go….

Inception review

August 24th, 2010 by ttfa16

First off, I would like to say that I am sorry for not posting in a while; I had A LOT on my hands lately. So, another review, but this time on Christopher Nolan’s new, “Inception”. I didn’t have a doubt that this would be a bad film because he made one of my all-time favorite films, “The Dark Knight”. And sure enough, he didn’t dissapoint. This film was not a confusing one as some people may say, and I didn’t have any questions at the end. I don’t want to spoil anything for you guys, but, I really thought that this is a MASTERPIECE and as soon as it’s out on DVD, I’m buying it. I give it a MILLION,BILLION,TRILLION out of 5. What a minute, what’s that big loud BURMMMMMM coming from?
